The Nilotica Difference
Why Nilotica - Not Regular Shea?
Most shea butter sold worldwide comes from the Vitellaria paradoxa tree found across West Africa. It is thick, waxy, and often needs to be heavily processed or blended with oils before it feels comfortable on skin.
Nilotica shea is a different species entirely - Vitellaria nilotica - and it grows only in the Nile River basin of East Africa. Women from the Acholi communities have hand-harvested and processed these nuts for generations using knowledge passed down through families.
Nilotica Shea Butter is a butter that is naturally softer, higher in oleic acid, and absorbs into skin without leaving residue. No added oils. No fragrance. No processing shortcuts. Just one ingredient, exactly as nature made it.
Deep moisture
Oleic acid penetrates past surface layers to hydrate where skin cells actually live.
No residue
Absorbs cleanly without the greasy film common to regular shea or synthetic creams.
Calms irritation
Natural soothing properties make it gentle enough for eczema-prone, reactive and sensitive skin.
Whole family use
One ingredient means no hidden allergens - safe for babies, children, and adults alike.
Builds over time
Skin texture improves with 60 to 90 days of consistent use - not a one-time fix.
Rooted in Authenticity
Sourced directly from Uganda where our founder's roots run deep and the rare Nilotica shea tree grows completely wild.
Simple. Consistent. Effective.
Your 90-Day Consistency Experiment
Skin responds to what you do every day - not what you try once. Here is the protocol.
After shower - every time
Apply a small amount to damp skin immediately after washing. Damp skin absorbs the butter faster and locks in the moisture already present. A pea-sized amount covers most of your arm.
Spot treat any dry areas
Heels, elbows, knuckles, and lips respond quickly. Apply a slightly thicker layer to these areas and let it absorb for 2 to 3 minutes before putting on shoes or clothing.
Track changes at day 30, 60, 90
Most people notice a difference by week 3. The real transformation - texture, tone, softness - shows clearly by day 90. Take a photo on day one so you have something to compare.
